Frequently Asked Questions...

Are there any other charges?

We only charge you the quoted price. Your carrier, however, might be charging you for the Text, MMS, PIX or data usage needed for us to get the wallpaper or ringtone to you.

I already bought a wallpaper or ringtone, can I re-download it?

Yes, you can re-download the same piece of content to the same phone / phone number combination again. Just go through the process of buying it again. We will detect that you already purchased this content and send you this one free of charge. You have to use the same phone number and the same phone you used before. Unfortunately, we can't tell if you changed your phone number or device, so the free re-download feature can only be used with the same phone number and phone you used to buy the content in the first place.

Also, carrier charges still do apply, so if you are downloading via Wap Push, you might be charged for the SMS message or the data usage to download the wallpaper. If you are on Verizon Wireless, you may be charged for the PIX messages needed to redeliver the wallpaper or ringtone to you.

I received a message, but I can't find the ringtone or wallpaper in my inbox, what do I do?

On a Verizon Wireless device, the text message titled "MLB Download" contains the image. Open that message, and click the "Options" menu to save the image to pix/pictures. You can then set as wallpaper from My Pix/My Pictures.

On certain AT&T Nokia devices, you will find the ringtone or wallpaper message by going into Media Net (web browser). Then go to the Options >> Other Options >> Service Inbox. You can download them from there.

On certain AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint Motorola devices, you will need to go into the Messaging Menu and scroll down to Browser Messages to access the content.

What do I need in order to download a wallpaper or ringtone?

Verizon Wireless customers:
You will need a Picture Messaging-capable phone with Picture Messaging service enabled.

AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile customers:
You will need data services on your phone to be able to receive WAP Push messages that will load a WAP site, where you will download your wallpaper or ringtone.

If you are not sure if you have these services please check with your carrier.

I haven't received any messages or my download. What's wrong?

Verizon Wireless customers:
You may not have a phone that supports Picture Messaging (MMS), or you may not have the Picture Messaging service turned on. Please contact your carrier to confirm.

While we do support a large number of PIX devices, there are some phones we do not yet support. If you're certain you have Picture Messaging, please contact us at mlb-mobile-cs@mlb.com with your device model name.

AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile customers:
Please make sure that WAP Push is enabled on your cell phone. Depending on the manufacturer of your phone, you may need to set the WAP Push setting to "On", "Allow all", "Always", or "Receive all". Here are some common locations for this setting:

LG:
- Internet > Push Messages > Receive

Motorola:
- Messages > Browser Msgs > Menu Button > Browser Msg Setup
- Messages > Browser Messages > Browser Msg Setup

Nokia:
- Services > Settings > Service Inbox settings
- Messaging > Settings > Service Msg.

Samsung:
- Fun Box > WWW Services > Push Messages > Setting
- Fun Box > Wap Browser

Sony-Ericsson:
- Messaging > WAP Push > Allow Push
- Wap Services > Push Messages
- Messaging > Wap Push

Also, certain devices aren't at all obvious about when they recieve a wap push message. It is possible it is in a folder called "Browser Messages " or "Service Messages" or even "Download Messages". Check around your messaging inbox and see if you have anything like that.

If you still can't find the message, try turning the phone off. Let it sit a minute. Then, turn it back on and try to buy it again. If you never received a message before, you won't get charged twice. You will only get charged after you get the wallpaper or ringtone downloaded to your phone.

Feel free to ask us as well at mlb-mobile-cs@mlb.com.

I have received a message, but don't know what to do with it. How do I get my content?

Verizon Wireless customers:
You will receive two messages after you've entered your PIN on the website. The first one will say, "Your order will arrive shortly." This simply confirms that your device is capable of receiving the content. The second message will come shortly thereafter, and will contain the content within the message. You can then save it and set it as your wallpaper or default ringtone from the Pictures, PIX, or Tones area of your phone.

AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile customers:
You will receive a message with a WAP URL address in it. Depending on your phone model, you will either select "Go", "Go To URL", "Open", or something similar to load a WAP page that will show you a preview and/or summary of the content you are about to purchase. From here, simply select "Buy" to begin the download.

I can't figure out how to save my wallpaper or ringtone on my Blackberry. What should I do?

We've noticed that occasionally the "Save Image" option is disabled on some Blackberry devices. The reason for this, is that the url that is delivered to you is opened in a Wap browser that may be branded by your carrier (AT&T, Sprint, etc) and they have removed the ability to save images.

There is a way around this. Find the message that has the link to the download and copy it to your clipboard. Then find the "Internet Browser" application. When it starts up, it should show the Blackberry logo, not the carrier logo. Once the application starts up, paste the link you copied into it. With this browser, you should be able to save the download without problems.

Also, you won't get charged for the second download. When you follow the link on the other browser, we will detect that you have already purchased this content and not charge you a second time.

I never get the wallpaper or ringtone delivered to my iPhone. What's up?

The Apple iPhone doesn't support Wap Push, which is how we deliver our content. Besides, the iPhone doesn't support downloadable content in general.

Are there any known problems with the Verizon Wireless Razor?

Yes. If you have GATW_01.0F.02 or GATW_01.0F.03 software versions, you will not be able to download ringtones or wallpapers.

You can confirm which software version you have by clicking Menu >> Settings & Tools >> System >> Device Info >> Other Information >> S/W Version.
